TPCC Chief Official Spokesperson Dasoju Sravan Kumar has questioned Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as to why they were not responding on Hyderabad Central University student Rohit’s suicide though the leaders across the nation were responding on it.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday along with official spokespersons M Raji Reddy, G Srinivas Yadav, Charan Koushik, Indira Shobhan, Sravan found fault with the MLC Ramchander Rao and Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, who politicized the two student unions issue by addressing letters and entering into the University premises, for stating that the Congress party was politicizing the university issue.
He said the Opposition leaders — Rahul Gandhi, Seetharam Yechuri, Asaduddin Owaisi, YSRCP leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and others — visited the University after Rohit’s death but the two Telugu Chief Ministers were not responding on it. He alleged that KCR, who has time to visit a clothes shop leisurely, has no time to react on student’s death. “Both the Chief Ministers have the responsibility to respond on death of a student”, he said and alleged that the BJP government was scripting conspiracies for Dalit students suicides. He also alleged that maintaining silence by two Chief Ministers also becomes part of conspiracy.
Wondering at the Nizamabad MP K Kavitha’s reaction on the death of Rohit, Sravan asked Kavitha to tell whether she was responding on the death of Rohit as a TRS MP or Telangana Jagruthi Chief. He asked Kavitha to tell as to why she was not making her father to make a statement on it instead of making the Jagruthi activists to storm Bandaru Dattatreya’s residence. Kavitha’s reaction on Rohit’s death looks like a political stunt, he said, and blamed the TRS government for not responding on it.
He also asked IT Minister K T Ramarao, who used to criticize the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on every possible platform, to tell as to why he was not making the government to arrest Bandaru Dattatreya and asked as to why the government was providing police protection to him with 500 police personnel.
