Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today said that one can find happiness and smiles on the faces of Muslim Minorities during the TRS rule in the state of Telangana.
Attending a program at Medak here along with Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, Harish Rao distributed clothes to poor Muslims to mark the holy Ramzaan festival. Speaking on the occasion, the minister announced sops including another residential school for Muslim girls in addition to existing one in the town. The government is funding Rs 2 cr for construction of a Shaadi Khana in the town which is nearing completion.
He also said that Rs 2 cr will be given for renovation and repairs of Edga and Masjid in the town. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has designed a unique scheme of Shaadi Mubarak with which the poor Muslim families can perform marriage of their girls by spending Rs 1.16 lakh, he said. Harish Rao said 250 schools were opened for the Minorities’ education. (NSS)
