Qazipet, September 29: Evils of the modernity have not only affected big cities but their impact is also seen at the small places. Not only the cases such as Muslim girls eloping with the non Muslim boys are on the rise but incidents such as Muslims adopting unislamic customs and traditions are also coming to the fore.
Last year Siasat daily had disclosed about Muslim women performing pooja at famous thousand pillar temple at Warangal. Some Muslim women and girls allegedly performed pooja at the occasion of Ganesh nimarjan a few days ago.
The day before at the procession taken out from Thousand Pillar temple to Subedari in view of Dussehra festival Muslim girls not only took part in the procession but were seen dancing shamelessly on the tune of trumpets. Muslim leaders of Warangal expressed regrets over the incident and exhorted Muslim men and women to keep away from such activities.
President district Waqf committee Mohammad Amjad Khan, ex-corporator Naseem Jahan, AICC member Basith Taher, district chairman minority unit Mohammad Yaqoob Ali and Kamal Pasha khadim Haveli Mashooq Rabbani said that such kind of incidents are having a negative impact on Muslim community and they should be brought to a halt in time.
