The CCS Police here unraveled the mystery of murder of Md Riyaz of Begumpet on the night of December 26, 2015 near Chakri Tiffins, Prakashnagar with the arrest of five suspects. Initially, the Begumpet police registered a murder case and transferred it to CCS.
The principal accused was identified as Mohd Shareef Khan, 46, resident of Prakash Nagar, Begumpet. Other accused were identified Javeed Khan alias Imran Khan, 34, Mohd Azhar Khan alias Azru, 26, Doulath Khan, 28, Mohd Khader Khan alias Khader, 26, are residents of Prakashnagar and all of them are close relatives.
Police said there was a land dispute between the deceased Riyaz Khan’s family and the accused Mohd. Shareef Khan and others at Chikoti Garden, Prakash Nagar, Begumpet. Since a few years, both parties were claiming the land and filed civil and criminal cases against each other leading to bitter enmity.
The deceased was actively intensifying and creating hurdles to the accused A-1 to A-3 at different forums. On that the accused A-1 to A-3 decided to eliminate the deceased Riyaz Khan. Accordingly, 3 months prior to this incident, one day the accused A-1 to A-3 assembled at the house of A-1 Shareef Khan at Prakashnagar, Begumept and criminally conspired and hatched a plan to eliminate the deceased Riyaz Khan. To execute their evil design, about 10 days prior to the incident, the accused A-1 to A-3 hired the accused A-4 to A-6 to eliminate the deceased Riyaz Khan and made an oral
agreement that they will be given 100 Sq. Yds of land each of them and also paid an advance of Rs. 10,000/- to the A-4 and Rs. 5,000/- each to the A-5 & A-6. The accused A4 to A6 agreed to kill deceased Riyaz khan for wrongful gain.
On 26.12.2015 at 9-30 PM the A-4 to A-6 confirming about the presence of Riyaz, Begumpet Diagnostic Lab and reached there on Honda Activa No.AP29E 6180 belonging to A5 Doulat and parked near the scene of offence. At about 9.50 pm when the deceased came out of the lab, the accused attacked the deceased Riyaz Khan with deadly weapons i.e., knife, stick and rod and caused injuries and caused instantaneous death. When the public gathered they sped away from the spot on their Honda Activa Scooter.
While investigation is under progress, today i.e., 5-1-2016 the I.O. Ram Kumar, Asst. Commissioner of Police, CCS arrested the accused A-1, A-3, A-4 to A-6 and produced before the Hon’ble Court for judicial remand. The remaining accused A-2 Sadiq Shareef and A-7 Karika Srinivas are absconding, efforts are continued to apprehend them. (NSS)
