Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today expressed pleasure at Maharashtra Government for agreeing in principle for undertaking the work of Chanaka-Korata (Rudha) barrage across Penganga river . The barrage is below Penganga dam site by Govt of Telangana. The inter-state agreement will be signed in due course, Satish Gawai , Principal Secretary , water resources , Govt of Maharashtra informed to the Telangana Government. Reacting on this Harish Rao who is in Madhya Pradesh on a study tour, expressed happiness. He said that they have already accorded administrative sanction of Rs. 368.60 cr for the barrage last month and issued an order. (NSS)
