Vijayawada, December 19: Vijayawada Congress Lok Sabha Member Lagadapati Rajagopal, who was shifted to Government General Hospital here this morning after a huge contingent of Armed Greyhound Police broke his fast-unto-death, continued his fast in the hospital even strong protests erupted with his supporters staging rasta rokos on National Highways disrupting vehicular traffic.
Amid chaos, hundreds of Greyhound Dalam Police swooped on the Swaraj Maidan, the venue of fastm, at 0540 hrs this morning and took the MP, whose fast entered the sixth day today, to hospital.Doctors who examined the MP in the hospital a shortwhile ago refused to divulge any detail to the waiting mediapersons.
The Joint Action Committee (JAC), comprising leaders of different political parties spearheading the pro-united Andhra Pradesh Movement, demanded the State Government to shift the MP to Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad.
