Hyderabad, November 28: Rajya Sabha Member and senior Congress leader Mr V Hanumantha Rao has opined that the idea of weakening the Kadapa MP Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was wrong.
Speaking to the media at his residence here on Sunday, Mr Hanumantha Rao said that Mr Jagan was not a loner to corner him, and added that the latter has tremendous support of the people. He opined that the high command may take action against Mr Jagan if it feels that he was disturbing the Party, and added that it was up to the high command to decide to take action against him or not. He also asserted that the high command was supreme and it would not be afraid of Mr Jagan.
When asked how it was possible to win 41 MP seats if the state was bifurcated, he said that the party would emerge victorious in 41 Parliament constituencies even after bifurcation of the state, and there was nothing wrong in the new Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statement on it. Recalling the new Chief Minister’s statement that he would obey the directions of the high command on the Telangana issue, he said that the Congress will bag 41 seats in the two states, in case of bifurcation of the State.
