Moily statement confuses Jagan camp

Hyderabad, July 17: The statement of AICC in-charge for Andhra Pradesh and Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily on Friday that there would be no action against YSR district (Kadapa) MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has left a sort of confusion in the latter’s camp.

Moily said there was no plan to take any action against Jagan as was reported in the media, since the Odarpu Yatra was his personal affair and the party has nothing to do with it. He refused to be drawn into the controversy over Jagan’s remarks against chief minister K Rosaiah and party leadership during the yatra. He said Rosaiah was competent enough to handle such adverse comments.

Now, Moily’ s statement came as unexpected development of Jagan who was anticipating a disciplinary action from the high command, so that he would gain more sympathy from the public. It is now apparent that the high command wants Jagan to come out in the open and disclose his mind. “After the Odarpu Yatra, what would he do? In any case, he is not going to get the chief minister post. Nor does he get any recognition from the party. If everybody starts ignoring him, he would feel suffocated and definitely come out with his plan of action,” party sources said.
