New Delhi, September 24: Narendra Modi’s drama in the name of fast has ended. He had said that it was a fast for communal harmony. But before this farce was over he gave all indications that there was no place for communal harmony in his dictionary.
One participant luckily tested it in the full presence of the media and participants when he presented the chief minister a skull cap worn by Muslims. The Gujarat chief minister who is accused of killing of around 2000 Muslims in 2002 genocide of Muslims flatly refused to even accept the cap.
Though there are Muslims who think that it was not Modi but the Maulana who went there and played with the sentiments of Muslims. Majority of Muslim have an opinion that Maulana should not have gone to meet Modi. Everybody in the world knows that Modi is against the very presence of Muslims in the state and he despises every symbol of Islam.
Maulana Habibur Rahman Ludhyanvi said that it was not Modi but the Maulana responsible for the insult of Muslims. He further said that “I have a suspicion that the people who were present in Muslim dress were not actual Muslims”.
Noted Shia scholar and member of Muslim Personal Law Board Maulna Syed Kalbe Jawwad Naqvi is very angry with the said Maulana who tried to present Muslim Cap to Modi. He said that those who were present there during the fast of Modi don’t represent actual Muslims. They were there just to get political benefit. He also said that it may be possible that Muslims who were there would go there in fear or in hope of mercy from Modi. He said that a person who doesn’t like Muslim cap can never like Muslims.
Shahabuddin Saqib Qasmi, senior journalist working with a Delhi based Urdu daily said that now we are observing a tendency from Muslims to go to Bhartiya Janta Party just for the monetary benefits. There are many Muslims organization working for these anti Muslim forces. Lamenting the situation he said the sorry condition is that now even the Maulvi and Maulana are going with BJP.
He said that presenting cap to Modi is part of the game of appeasing him and the BJP. Shahabuddin said that the Muslim should understand that Modi has no mercy for Muslims. If a Muslim thinks that Modi’s heart will change towards them he is befooling himself.
Mohammad Sabir Parwez a social activist in New Delhi’s Okhla said that I don’t understand why Muslims are inching towards the communal people like Modi.
Hasan Ahmad, Congress MLA from Mustafabad said that by refusing Muslim cap Modi once again proved that he has nothing to do with Muslim. He is anti Muslim and he will remain so even in future. He further said “I am very surprised as to why the Muslim don’t understand him. After the barbaric incident in Gujarat in 2002 not even a single time he has shown any sympathy towards Muslims. As far as refusing to wear Muslim cap is concerned in my opinion the Maulana who presented cap to Modi is responsible more than Modi for the insult of Muslim and |Islam”.
