Union Minister for Labour & Employment Bandaru Dattatreya has said the Narendra Modi government was striving to eradicate unemployment in the country.
Speaking at a program of photo exhibition “Navinapathamlo pragati” pogram organized by PIB, the Union Minister said the Union government’s aim was to resolve unemployment problem in the country and the government was working towards providing two crore jobs to youth in the next two years. Speaking to the media later, Dattatraya said the photo exhibition would help spread and propagate welfare schemes for the people initiated by the Centre. Stating that the employment exchange offices are being modernized in the country, Dattatraya said the employment exchange in Osmania University would be taken as a model to improve its efficiency. Wi-Fi facility would also be made available on the Osmania University, he said, adding that unemployed youth would be imparted training to improve their skills under “Pradhan Mantri Koushal Yojana” scheme.
The Modi government has sanctioned Rs 1.12 lakh crore for the development of Telangana during the last two years. The Centre always opines that the country would be developed if the States remained strong and developed. The Centre was spending Rs two lakh crore for laying roads in the country, he added.
Detailing various welfare programs taken up by the Centre, Dattatraya said the Centre has begun “ Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bhima Yojsna to prevent suicides of farmers in the country. Some five crore small traders were benefited in the country with the Mudra Bank Yojana.
