Modi destroying democracy, says TPCC chief

Hyderabad: TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that the BJP Government at the Centre was hatching conspiracies to destroy the democracy in the country.
Uttam staged a protest program at Gandhi Statue on the Assembly premises on Wednesday along with party leaders. Speaking on the occasion, Uttam said the Centre imposed President’s Rule by dismissing the government in Uttarakhand before giving 24 hours time to the ruling party to prove its strength in the Assembly. Describing the day as “Dark Day” in Indian democracy, Uttam said his party chalked out an action plan to stage a nationwide protest on the Uttarakhand issue.
Alleging that the Narendra Modi government has imposed President’s Rule in Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand states without any valid reason, Uttam said the Modi government brought a dark mark to the democracy. On Wednesday, Congress party cadre demonstrated and burned effigies of Prime Minister Modi, staged dharnas and rasta rokos across the State. As part of it, Youth Congress organized protest programs at Nampally in a big way. Senior leaders Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, former minister Sridhar Babu and others participated in the program.
Uttam alleged that the Modi government was pulling down the non-NDA governments across the nation. The Modi government was also suppressing the political parties which were raising the public issues. He said that the Congress party seriously condemned the suppressive acts of the NDA government. He alleged that BJP Telangana State president G Kishan Reddy was making allegations against AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi> He alleged that the BJP government was the reason for the atrocious incidents took place in Hyderabad Central University.
