Hyderabad, August 10: Lord mayor of Miyoshi in Hiroshima Prefecture of Japan, Masaya Murai lauded Hyderabad for its clean environment, beautiful landscapes and hospitality. He is here on a two-day visit on the completion of fourth year of Hyderabad-Miyoshi Sister City affiliation. The two cities had begun the relationship on July 27, 2006.
He met Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation mayor Banda Karthika Reddy, deputy mayor Jaffer Hussain and commissioner Sameer Sharma here on Monday. Karthika Reddy presented the lord mayor with a memento and a shawl. Masai Murai is accompanied by officials including chairman of Miyoshi City Council Kimura Yoshio, deputy secretary general Katsuyama Osamu, chairman of Miyoshi Chamber of Commerce Yusuke Maekawa. The delegation also includes 13 students and two teachers for a student-exchange programme with Orchids Schools.
