Hyderabad: As statistics showed that more number of minorities, women and girls of teasing and harassment in indulged, Hyderabad City SHE Teams organized a group of 48 minors for counseling for women against the various acts of harassment in the custody, at the HACA Bhavan on Tuesday. Eight consultors headed by Geetha Challa from Mano Jagrithi, an NGO, consulted the children through various interactive sessions.
One of the minors, after the session, said that he used to be harsh against his parents and elders and riding bikes at high speed, but now after consulting he has a goal to be an engineer. Another minor said he now views women differently and that they are respected and treated like their own sister or mother.
The parents of the minors, who attended the session with their children, felt happy to see their children take on some very important lessons on life such a loving and caring way. One of the parents said he would definitely definitely spend more time with his son and try to teach him better values in life. The parents thanked SHE Teams for holding the consulting session.
The counseling session was held in the presence of Shikha Goel, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Crimes and SIT, Avinash Mohanty, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, MA Bari, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, C. Narmada, Asst. Commissioner of Police, SHE Teams.
