Minor boy among two killed in rain related incidents

The Chandrayangutta Police on Monday retrieved the body of an eight-year-old boy who was drowned in a culvert.

The victim, Md. Altaf, a student of third class, had went out of his home in Kabir Nagar in Chandrayangutta on Sunday. When he did not return till late evening, his father Md Sayeed lodged a complaint with the police. The boy’s body was found today in a railway culvert in the area. He is suspected to have drowned accidentally. The body has been shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

In a similar case, the body of Waheed Khan, 60, of Aljubel Colony, was found in a nala in Chandrayangutta police limits on Monday. He was an auto-driver and did not return home since yesterday. He is suspected to have been accidentally fallen into the nala due to heavy rains in the city. (INN)
