A woman in Stone Mountain, Georgia, has come forward to claim her share of the Mega Millions 636 million dollars jackpot, while the second winner has yet to come forward. Lottery officials in America had recently announced that the two winning tickets in the massive jackpot were sold in San Jose, California, and Atlanta, Georgia.
The Mega Millions winning numbers drawn were 8, 14, 17, 20 and 39, and the Megaball was 7. Georgia Lottery Corporation president and CEO, Debbie Alford, said at a press conference that Ira Curry, 56, will take the cash option and, after taxes, will rake in about 120 million dollars. Alford said that Curry was very, very excited about the win and is still in a state of shock.
Curry heard on the radio that the Mega Ball number was 7, the one she had picked, and she called her daughter, who read off the rest of the winning numbers through “joyful tears and laughter,” Alford said. (ANI)
