Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today clarified that his statement on faith on God was distorted by a section of the media.
On the sidelines of second day Collectors’ conference here on Thursday, the Chief Minister said, “My comments on God and temples were distorted. I spoke positively on Gods and temples. But my comments were made misleading and inaccurate”, he explained. It may be mentioned here that some newspapers quoted Chandrababu Naidu as saying that people were committing sins. Some were facing troubles and to get rid of them they were going to temples and praying. He also reportedly attributed increasing temples’ income to growing sins and troubles among the people. The Chief Minister said the Collectors were clothed with special powers and they can utilize it for providing administration as expected by the people. Naidu also asked the Collectors to encourage competitive spirit among the staff from village to official levels. (NSS)
