Mayawati asks Centre to timely exchange security inputs

Lucknow, December 02: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati asked the Centre to timely exchange security related inputs and provide adequate RPF personnel to the state to maintain law and order in the wake of the situation arising out of tabling of Liberhan Commission report on the Babri Masjid demolition in Parliament.

“The Centre should exchange security related inputs and provide adequate number of RPF personnel to the state to maintain law and order here.

“The force is necessary for ensuring security at disputed sites in Ayodhya, Mathura and Varanasi,” Mayawati said in a letter to Union Home Minister P Chidambaram.

She said after tabling of Liberhan commission report in the Parliament, religious, political and communal activities have increased in the state due to which Lucknow, Mathura, Varanasi and Ayodhya districts have become sensitive.
