Faizabad, July 21: A Maulana was arrested and sent to jail on charges of rape, police said here today.
Maulana Atiq was arrested on the complaint of a 20-year old girl yesterday. In her complaint, she alleged that she became pregnant after being raped by him on the pretext of some religious ritual.
The police arrested the accused and sent to jail.
