Isalamabad, June 25: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has offered Marvi Memon, who has recently resigned from her membership of PML-Q as well as the Parliament, to join PTI as head of Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK chapter affairs.
A top-tier PTI leader confirmed the news expressing hope that Marvi would be in PTI within upcoming days for the aforementioned responsibility. However, Ms Marvi, while talking to The Nation said that she had been invited by some political parties to join them but she had not taken any decision yet.
Giving brief details of her plans before joining any political party she said,” I have to do some work of immediate importance in prevailing circumstances that includes conception of an alternate government model in the country with the help of loyal Pakistanis, and interaction with the people about their issues and their solutions.” However, from her accounts ostensibly she is also considering the possibilities of creation of a new political party, as she stated, “I need the loyal Pakistanis to proceed on our karvan-e-haq across Pakistan. Giving them hope that we are in process of gathering clean leadership of politicians who will steer Pakistan out of this mess.”
She further added, “My journey symbolically has started from today. I have visited Quaid’s mausoleum today soon after I landed at Karachi airport. As MNA my first stop was the same. I had made certain pledges in this private visit. And today I intend to renew my oath to my Quaid.”
