Mango festival held in Jeddah

Jeddah: A Mango festival was held in Jeddah under the auspicious of India-Arab Friendship Foundation and India Forum, Jeddah with the cooperation of Consulate of India. 33 varieties of Mangoes were displayed in the festival.

Addressing on this occasion, Chairman of India-Arab Friendship Foundation, Mr. Jaber Patel told that this festival has been organized to promote Indo-Arab relations. He informed that next year, 300 varieties would be displayed. Mango quiz, mango sweet dish contest, fancy dress and other contests were held on this occasion. Mr. Mohammed Shahid Alam, Acting Consul General of India and Director of India Forum expressed his pleasure for organizing Mango festival. Chairman of India Forum, Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Khan thanked all those who contributed for the success of Mango. General Secretary of the Forum, Mr. Ayub Kaleem welcomed and Mr. Zakaria proposed vote of thanks.
