Man rapes his teen daughter, flees

Sadashivanagar, July 13: The Sadashivanagar police are on the lookout for a 39-year-old man who allegedly raped his 15-year-old daughter.

The accused has been identified as Vikram Joshi, a native of Nepal, who was working as a security guard for the last six years. He stays with his second wife Mouna at a temporary shed on Sadashivanagar 15th Cross. Joshi’s first wife is in Nepal, police said.

The victim is studying in Class 7 and usually went to school with her step-brother, son of the second wife. Mouna works as a domestic maid, police said.

On Sunday, the victim and her brother were at home and Mouna had gone to work. Joshi is said to have asked his son to play outside and then raped the girl. On Monday, when Mouna went out for work, Joshi again raped his daughter when she was getting ready for school, police said. The girl returned home from school with a severe stomachache and narrated about the incident to Mouna. Upset over Joshi’s behaviour, Mouna beat him up.
