New Delhi, December 18: Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee is ready with the White Paper on Indian Railways’ financial audit, She is to put this White Paper in Parliament today. However, the good intentions of Mamata caused uproar in the parliament.
Former Railway Minister and RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav has opposed the call by saying that he has witnessed the growth, and government trying to trap him under a well hatched conspiracy.
Earlier Lalu had affirmed that Railway Ministry has Rs. 90,000 crore surplus in its coffers, while Mamata Banerjee told the Parliament that the department has only Rs. 8,000 crore in its accounts and she is to table thewhite paper today in the house over the issue, which is not being taken in healthy spirit by RJD chief and his party MPs.
