Dumka (Jharkhand), September 21: Senior JMM MLA Simon Marandi today demanded that he be included in Arjun Munda-led ministry as a “Christian representative”.
“There should be a Christian representative in the state cabinet. JMM has three MLAs from the community. Since I am the senior most MLA among them, I should be given preference in the cabinet,” he told newsmen here.
He also advocated another berth for JMM president Shibu Soren’s daughter-in-law Sita Soren.
“She is the only woman MLA in JMM and she should also be made a minister,” Marandi said.
Chief Minister Arjun Munda, who took oath on September 11 as the head of BJP-JMM-Ajsu-JDU coalition, has not yet expanded his three-member cabinet.
He can have a maximum of 12 ministers and there are too many claimants from all the allies.
