Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Saturday informed that a team of Maharashtra Government would visit Telangana to study the Mission Kakatiya.
Speaking to media persons on Saturday, Harish Rao said arrangements have been made to take the Maharashtra team for inspection of lakes which were revived as part of Mission Kakatiya. He said of 46,531 lakes in the State, so far, nearly 11,000 lakes have been revived. He said that the programme was receiving appreciation from across the world. Eminent scientist Swaminathan too has appreciated the scheme. He said Mission Kakatiya was now being replicated in various other States in the country. (INN)
