Mumbai, January 21: As his decision has not been taken in healthy spirit by the states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra Chief Minister has backed off from his previous statement where he stated that Marathi language is compulsion for the migrant taxi drivers, asserted that he didn’t mean that Hindi people couldn’t fetch the license.
His retreat signifies that congress has put pressure over him to make changes in his statement and directed him not to neglect the national language. After the decision made by Maharashtra government, it has been criticised by various political parties. Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav said that this decision exhibits the face of real Congress.
