Hyderabad: Socialist Party (India), Telangana State Committee urged the government of Telangana to implement prohibition to ensure speedy development of people especially poor and middle class. Telangana State General Secretary and Convener Rashtra Praja Shakti Front Mr. Mirza Farooq Baig termed prohibition inevitable for welfare and prosperity of all sections of society. He declared the idea of golden Telangana without prohibition as ridiculous. Mr. Farooq Baig was addressing the state level campaign ‘Sharab Hatao, Samaj Bachao’ organised by Socialist Party of India Telangana. Creating awareness among the drinkers, smokers, Gutkha eaters, he informed that every day 15 people die because of drinking in the country. Health and social related problems caused by excessive consumption of liquors are on the rise and it poses a serious danger to the country.
