India, January 16: The recent economic development has widened the economic inequality across the country. Despite sustained high economic growth rate, some 41.6 per cent live under $1 a day compared to 22.6 per cent in Pakistan. 40 per cent of children under the age of three are underweight and a third of all men and women suffer from chronic energy deficiency.
China: The World Bank estimates that more than 60% of the population was living under its $1 per day (PPP) poverty line at the beginning of economic reform. That poverty headcount ratio had declined to 10 per cent by 2004, indicating that about 500 million people have been lifted out of poverty in a generation.
Democracy is bull shit if 40 per cent of the children are underweight, 41.6 per cent are living below poverty line compared to 22.6 per cent in Pakistan. Its better to stop the parents from begetting, rather than letting their children die with hunger. What about the children right of those 40%, just stop preaching China. The blood of our freedom fighters has gone wasted, thanks to Congress. Its in the center for about 6 years, did nothing to stop population, they wan’t more beggars. 85 per cent of the Indians are living under $2 a day, compared to 80 per cent of sub-sahara africa. If this govt. can’t secure employment, people won’t have any other option but to join Naxalites.
The main reason behing this chaos that congress give is that its the duty of state govt. to develop the country and remove poverty. But if the state chooses to opt for other party than congress they will have to suffer. Can those 85 per cent poor people that are hardly able to feed themselves, in any position to decide the nation future? Nehru never faced any oppisition during his rule, even IndiraJi prefered to enforce emergency for the good of this country. Democratic values are more important than the democracy itself.
Let not Rahul Gandhi waste his efforts to gain power, let him be the king !!!
