Condemning the “apathy” of the TRS government towards unemployed youth, Telangana State BJP president Dr K Laxman today demanded that the government release a white paper on how many jobs the government has provided to youth during its three-and-a-half-year rule in the State.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Dr Laxman alleged that the State government, with the help of police personnel, tried to suppress the “Chalo Assembly” program organised by BJYM and over 10,000 workers were taken into custody a day before the program.
During the Chalo Assembly program, police took into preventive custody of BJP leaders, including Laxman, national president P Murlidhar Rao, Yuva Morha Statepresident G Bharat Goud, BJP State vice-presidents Dr Kasam Venkateshwarlu, Y. Gita and official spokesperson N V Subhash
Dr Laxman claimed that the Chalo Assembly program organised in support of unemployed youth was a grand success. He said there was no situation in the State to organise programs and agitation peacefully to raise public importance issues as government was adopting dictatorial attitude to suppress programmes of Opposition parties. He also alleged that the ruling party was trying to stifle the voice of the Opposition in the Assembly when they raise public issues.
Dr Laxman said a mammoth public meeting christened as “Nirudyoga garjana” would be held on November 26 in which party’s yuva morcha national president Punam Mahajan would participate. (NSS)
