AAP MLA’s car vandalised

New Delhi: A group of persons allegedly vandalised the car of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Sharad Chauhan after a scuffle between them and the men accompanying the Narela legislator at outer Delhi’s Bakoli village, police said on Tuesday.

The incident was reported around 11.30 pm when Chauhan was returning home and the road outside Bakoli village was clogged due to a marriage procession, said a senior official.

When Chauhan’s driver asked for way, some members of the marriage party, who were suspected to be in an inebriated state, allegedly hurled abuses, leading to a scuffle between two groups, said the official.

During the scuffle, some of them allegedly vandalised the MLA’s car. Locals called up the police control room and the injured persons were taken to a nearby hospital, from where they were discharged after first-aid, the official said.

No official complaint has so far been received from either of the two parties, the official added.
