Lake view police rescued one woman

The Lake Police rescued one woman B Geetha (35) an private worker W/o Suresh Resident of Indira Nagar of Khairatabad, Hyderabad from committing suicide in Hussain Sagar lake. The details are as follows:

She is facing family problems with her mother-in-law’s sister, her daughter and her co-sister, since last one year. Recently her mother-in-law died owing to illness. After her death the above persons started harassing her and blaming her for the death of her mother-in-law and used to quarrel in petty matters with her. Due to the harassment she went in to depression and came to Hussain Sagar, Opp: NTR Gardens for committing suicide and got into the waters with an intention to commit suicide. The Lake Patrol Team consisting of Srinivas Rao noticed her getting into the waters and immediately jumped into the water and spotted her with the help of ‘Dragon Light’ and brought her out with the help of a rope. She was brought to Lake Police Station and given first aid. Later, the family members of the woman were called to the Police Station and handed her over to them after counseling.

The timely action by the Lake Police Patrol Team under the supervision of Janakamma, Inspector of Lake PS could save the life of a woman.

It is to mention here that the Lake Police could save 41-lives so far during the year 2014 which is a commendable job. M Mahender Reddy Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, appreciated the good work turned out by Lake Police in saving 41- precious lives during the year 2014. (INN)
