Hyderabad: Extending all support to Gujarati community in the city, caretaker minister KT Rama Rao today said on retaining power in the December 7 elections, the TRS government would address all problems and issues of the Gujaratis.
At a program at Telangana Bhavan here today, the Gujarati community members, most of them women, joined the TRS. KTR welcomed them by offering traditional pink shawls.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister appealed to the traders and business men of the community to instruct their employees to vote for the ruling party at the hustings. He claimed that during the past four-and-a-half years rule of the TRS, the Gujaratis or any other community in the city have been living in peace and brotherhood atmosphere and the credit goes to TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said.
The Gujaratis have to think about the law and order, peaceful atmosphere and facilities in the city and then vote for the ruling party to retain power, he said and asked them to compare the development and welfare during the TRS regime and that of the successive governments.
On retaining power the TRS regime will certainly focus on the poor among the Gujaratis and provide them with welfare schemes. It was good development that the Gujarati Samaj people, who used to keep away from politics, have joined the TRS and the TRS party leadership will address their issues.
KTR also listed various measures taken up by the KCR government like surpassing power crisis in six months and coming up with new industrial policy to offer all permissions in 12 days for industries and business and their expansion. “Besides, we have taken steps to put a halt to corruption, completing two reservoirs to quench the thirst of the Hyderabadis and a command control center will come up first of its kind at national level. Telangana will be power surplus State in the near future and Hyderabad will be a global city, he claimed.
