Telangana IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday called on the Union Minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi and appealed for exempting certain sectors from the GST.
KTR emphasized to the Union Finance Minister for exempting Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, small and medium granite industries, Beedi industry.
Since Arun Jaitley is also holding the Defence portfolio, KTR brought to his notice the need for acquiring some defence lands under the purview of the Secunderababd Cantonment Board for the state government’s projects like building flyovers and skyways etc. He informed that the state government would compensate with its lands for the defence lands to be acquired and hence urged that this should be resolved at the earliest.
The Union Finance Minister was stated to have issued necessary instructions top resolve these with the concerned authorities. (NSS).
