Krushi Solar Power Project inaugurated

Hyderabad, October 14: Pratt & Whitney and its suppliers dedicated an USD 85,000 (Rs 37,49,775 ) solar power project that will provide all of the electricity needed for Association Saikorian’s Project Krushi, a home for disadvantaged children in Hyderabad.

Pratt & Whitney contributed USD 40,000 (Rs 17,64,600 ) of the funding for the project.

To symbolize the goal of environmental sustainability that is represented by this project, the school’s students planted more than 50 trees for the dedication ceremony in Hyderabad yesterday.

The solar project was executed by Infotech Enterprises Ltd., Pratt & Whitney’s engineering services provider in Hyderabad, and was financially supported by other suppliers such as QuEST Global Engineering, MTU Aero Engines, Belcan, and by a local private donor.

Representatives of Engineers Without Borders-India provided technical assistance to complete the project, the company release here said.–UNI
