TJAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram today extended his solidarity with 48-hour Prajaswamya Parirakshana Deeksha staged by the expelled Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venakt Reddy and SA Sampath Kumar.
Addressing Deeksha here on Thursday at Gandhi Bhavan, Prof. Kodandaram opined that the Assembly has to run in a democratic manner. He also alleged that Speaker S Madhusudana Chary expelled two Congress MLAs without any recommendation from the Ethics Committee. He pointed out that while action was initiated against YSRCP MLA RK Roja after referring the issue to Ethics Committee in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, but the TRS government expelled the members without any procedure.
He asked the TRS government what it would do if Lok Sabha Speaker initiates action against TRS MPs in the same manner. He demanded that the State government withdraw its action against the Congress party MLAs while reviewing its decision. (NSS)
