Coimbatore, March 31: Actor Khushbu identified herself as a “daughter-in-law” of Coimbatore people and asked them to vote for the candidates of the Democratic Progressive Alliance to ensure the return of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) to power for the continuation of welfare schemes.
Ms.Khushbu began her campaign in Kavundampalayam constituency seeking votes for DMK nominee T.P. Subramanian, Coimbatore North constituency nominee M. Veeragopal, Coimbatore South nominee Pongalur N. Palanisamy and Singanallur constituency Congress party nominee Mayura Jayakumar.
She exhorted the voters to support the DMK that had strived hard for the welfare of the people, especially the poor and downtrodden, by introducing a lot of welfare schemes.
The welfare schemes implemented by the DMK were with foresight and vision towards making the State very progressive. She said that DMK leader M. Karunanidhi will create history by becoming Chief Minister for the sixth term.
