Hyderabad, September 26: The Telangana senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Mr K Keshava Rao said that it was not correct on the part of the Telangana leaders of the Congress, TDP and TRS to criticise each other.
Seeking the support of the TDP and TRS, Mr Rao said that the Congress would bring Telangana State, and urged them to keep away their personal agendas regarding the Telangana issue.
He also said that he would talk to all the parties including TDP on the separate state issue. He also said that he will try for a new platform called ‘Joint Heart Movement’ to achieve Telangana.
Speaking to the media at his residence here on Sunday, he said that the Telangana protagonists have to criticise the Andhra leaders, who were criticising Telangana leaders in a very bad manner, but should not criticise the Telangana leaders.
He said that there was no compromise on Telangana and added that all the people of Telangana were in support of separate State only, and nobody was opposing the formation of separate state. He advised the Telangana protagonist leaders, irrespective of the parties, to stop indulging in criticising each other. He said that it would weaken the Telangana movement.
He suggested to the leaders to work in one voice and not to criticise each other. He also said that it was not proper to criticise the TRS Chief Mr KCR and the MPs. He said that the Andhra leaders too have the right to talk anything, and added that the media was worsening the situation. He said, “media is not writing what I said”.
He opined that there were no two types of citizenship in the country; the problem here was only about local or non-local; and added that the local candidates would have special facilities wherever it may be. There was no place for the exploiters in the Telangana region, he added. He also found fault with the leaders who were criticising Mr KCR for organising industrial CEOs meeting.
He demanded the government to withdraw the cases against the students whatever their intensity might be. Supporting Mr KCR’s ‘love’ affair with Mr Lagadapati, Mr KK said that they did not hate each other, and there was nothing wrong in loving each other.
He said that there would be MPs meeting here at Lake View Guest on September 28 and all the MPs would attend the meet.
MLC Mr Yadava Reddy has opined that there was no scope for any difference of opinion, if the leaders were serious about the Telangana cause. He said that the problem will not be solved if one criticizes another.
Interestingly, the PCC official spoke person Mr Paladugu Venkatrao, who hails from Andhra region, and who is a staunch united Andhra supporter, sat along with Mr KK while the later was speaking on the Telangana issue.
The PCC Chief Mr D Srinivas earlier met Mr KK. Mr Srinivas said, while leaving the place, there was no uncertainty in the Congress party. He called on Mr KK just because he got a fracture in the leg. He said that the PCC would organise a meeting on September 28. (NSS)
