Washington: Singer Kelly Clarkson is all set to host this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
The event will broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 20.
‘The Voice’ coach took to social media to share her excitement as she wrote, “Did you hear who is hosting the @BBMAs Music awards?! This is going to be fun! Don’t miss it, LIVE May 20th at 8e/5p on NBC. #BBMAs – Team KC”
In a press release announcing the gig, the 35-year-old said, “To prepare for hosting the Billboard Music Awards, I already have 20 costume changes planned.”
“I will be flying in like my girl P!nk, and calling Amy Schumer and Sarah Silverman for jokes. Well, or I’m just gonna show up and celebrate my favorite artists and get to know a few more. Yeah, maybe I’ll go with that plan,” she said as reported by Billboard.
The 2018 nominees were announced Tuesday, with Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, and Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick Lamar leading the way with 15 nominations each.
