BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman on Thursday has alleged that the ‘Swach Hyderabad’ campaign proposed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was aimed at receiving huge kickbacks for next GHMC polls.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Lakshman said that there was no need to spend Rs 1,000 crore on ‘Swach Hyderabad’ campaign as the ‘Swach Bharat’ is an ongoing campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few months ago. He said huge allocation of funds for regular works give clear indications of a major scam in making. He also described the Chief Minister’s announcement on weaker section housing as misleading aimed at drawing political mileage in next GHMC elections.
Lakshman dared KCR to hold GHMC elections in the next two months. He said KCR became active only after High Court ordered that elections should be held by December 15. (INN)
