To mark the “Deeksha Divas” that fetched statehood to Telangana followed by hunger strike by TRS Supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao on Nov 29, 2009, the rank and file of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) today celebrated the occasion, under the auspices of Telangana Jagruti, through various programs across the state.
At Hyderabad, Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy shook his legs along with the artistes and TRS partymen at a program at the Indira Park. Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Government Advisor KV Ramanachary, MLA Srinivas Goud, Cinema artist Suman, Poet Nandini Sidha Reddy, Lyricist Goreti Venkanna and huge number of partymen and supporters attended the event. Suman said that KCR’s hunger protest reached zenith and the Centre had to accord statehood. As a result, Andhra Pradesh state is also getting developed, the cine actor said adding that he is going to play a key role in a film on Telangana statehood
