KCR wants winter session to be smooth & meaningful

Chief Minister and Leader of the House K Chandrashekhar Rao has desired that the ensuing Winter Session of the legislature be held in a meaningful way to discuss people’s issues without giving any scope for “politicization of the proceedings”.

The Chief Minister instructed the members from the Treasury benches to get equipped with answers on any question/query to be raised by the members in the House. He also decided to utilize the session to explain to the people, through the House, on several programs launched by the State government for the welfare and benefit of the public.

The Chief Minister was speaking at a review meeting held here on Monday at Pragathi Bhavan on the preparations made for the ensuing Winter Session of the Legislative Assembly. Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao, Chief Whip Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, senior officials S Narsing Rao, Ramakrishna Rao, Bhoopal Reddy, Ganapati Reddy, Navin Mittal, Smita Sabharwal and others participated in the meeting.

Since there is a likelihood of the members raising several issues, the CM wanted the Treasury Benches to be armed with the necessary information. He also asked the ministers to prepare comprehensive reports on their respective ministries to be shared in the House. All the ruling party members should have awareness on the policies and programs of the government, he said.

The Chief Minister said while answering the queries raised by the members, the Ruling Front is ready to take their suggestions and opinions. However, a clear-cut message should be given to the members not to politicize the proceedings of the session. He has entrusted the job of coordinating with the ministers to Harish Rao. (NSS)
