Hyderabad, August 12: Telugu Desam Party MLA A Revanth Reddy on Thursday accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao of acting as an ‘agent’ of the Congress party.
Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, Mr Revanth Reddy said that if KCR had any genuine concern for Telangana cause, he can go to New Delhi and fight for the issue at 10, Janpath.
“KCR is acting like he is ‘tabedar’ (subservient) to the Congress instead of protecting the interests of Telangana people,” he charged.
Mr Revanth Reddy said that KCR has become emboldened by outcome of by-election results in Telangana and this recently found bravado is prompting him to make unwarranted statements against the TDP.
“For KCR, the by-elections results have come as a boon since he is now making unwarranted charges against his political opponents, perhaps under the assumption that he can do no wrong,” he said.
Mr Revanth Reddy opined that KCR has turned TRS into an affiliated unit of Congress party.
The TDP MLA opined that when people from south Telangana are accepting the leadership of KCR, who belongs to North Telangana, the people from the entire Andhra Pradesh will accept the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu.
