Hyderabad, February 02: Twelve percent reservations would be provided to Muslim minorities in education and employment if a separate Telangana state is formed and the allocation for minority welfare in the state’s budget would be Rs.1,000 crore, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao has said.
Addressing a gathering of a large number of minority leaders of MIM, TDP, BJP who joined the TRS at a function organised at a private function hall here today, the TRS chief said that in united Andhra Pradesh Muslims have been neglected.The state government did not allocate even one per cent of the budget for minorities’ welfare during the last 54 years.
He alleged that in the united Andhra Pradesh Muslim Waqf property has been looted by the successive governments. There are nearly Rs 4 lakh crore worth Waqf properties in and around Hyderabad and after formation of Telangana state they would be used only for Muslims’ welfare, he asserted.
