The Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhara Rao has given explanation to the Election Commission stating that he did not make any religious related comment at the party workers meeting in Parakala in connection with the by-election.
In his explanation to the Election Commission, KCR said that he had advised the party workers to see that the people would not believe the assurances being given by the political parties invoking religion. The party leaders, on behalf of KCR, taken the explanation letter to the chief election officer’s office in secretariat. The leaders have submitted the letter to the deputy election officer Sabri, as the Chief Electoral officer Bhanwarlal was not present in the office. (NSS)
