KCR leaves for Delhi

Hyderabad, August 25: Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief K Chandrasekhar Rao left for Delhi today to confer with likeminded political parties on measures the Centre should take for initiation of process for formation of Telagnana state.

The TRS chief is under the impression that the Srikrishna Committee is likely to submit its report in November when the winter session of Parliament would be in progress.

According to sources, he wants to strike when the iron is hot – build up pressure on the Centre for acting on the report of the Srikrishna Committee which he believes would be favourable to formation of Telangana.

He is expected to stay in Delhi for one week to ensure that the momentum generated by his party for separate statehood would not lose steam. Earlier in the day, Rao called on his party MP Vijayashanthi, who tied rakhi to him.
