KCR inaugurates ‘Numayesh’, skips speech

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao inaugurated the 76th All India Industrial Exhibition, popularly called as ‘Numayesh’, in Nampally here on Friday.

Deviating from the normal practice of giving long speeches, KCR kept his presence at the event too brief. He greeted the people on the occasion of New Year and declared the Exhibition open. He was at the dais for hardly 3-4 minutes.

Unlike last year, when he unveiled mega plans for Hyderabad after inaugurating the Exhibition, the Chief Minister turned the inauguration ceremony a very low key affair. Except for Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, who is also the president of Exhibition Society, no other minister or senior official was present on the dais.

Addressing the gathering, Eatala said that the Exhibition Society has made arrangements for free parking for the visitors. He hoped that the visitors would enjoy the 45-day long exhibition.

Exhibition Society Honorary Vice-President Anil Swaroop Mishra, Secretary Sukhender Vanam, Joint Secretary Aditya Margam and other officials were present. (INN)
