KCR hints at cabinet reshuffle

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has hinted that he might reshuffle his cabinet in near future.

While addressing a meeting at Dharmavaram on Sunday, KCR promised that he would induct Government Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar into his cabinet. This assurance clearly indicates that he might reshuffle the cabinet to accommodate new faces.

It may be mentioned that Nizamabad MP and KCR’s daughter K Kavitha too had indicated a reshuffle in the State Cabinet. Addressing a meeting in Warangal on June 7, Kavitha had stated that a woman would be given representation in KCR’s cabinet soon.

In order to accommodate Koppula Eshwar and a woman into his cabinet, the Chief Minister would have to drop two sitting ministers. KCR had expanded his cabinet on December 16 last year and as per the rules, he cannot have more than 16 ministers for a 119-member Assembly. (INN)
