Atali Muslims face attack again – Swaraj Abhiyan demands PM to break his silence

Swaraj Abhiyan demanded the PM to break his silence in order to condemn fresh violence and attack on Muslims when a large number of police forces were present in the village.

Mr. Yogendra Yadav, Convener of Swaraj Abhiyan told that it is a matter of shame a place 40 kms from the Parliament, Muslims have to live in state of fear and they were forced to leave their homes in search of peaceful places.

Atali village of Ballabgarh in Faridabad district of Haryana faced communal violence again on Thursday. The incidents of violence took place in the presence of a large number of policemen as a result of which many Muslims had to leave their places.

Mr. Yadav further told that it is extremely shameful for a democratically elected government. He demanded explanation from BJP which is in power in Haryana State and also in the center. It may be mentioned that on 25th May a Mosque and more than 25 houses were set ablaze by communal elements which led innocent Muslims to take shelter in Police Station.

The local unit of Swaray Abhiyan formed a peace committee and made and attempt to restore peace in the village with the cooperation of locals residents. It is surprising that so far no arrests have been made. It speaks of the lethargy of the State Government in handling communal tension.

It is very painful that many Muslim families are forced to leave their village to ensure peace and safety.

Abhiyan condemned violence and blamed the government for its failure to curb communal elements. The peace committee formed by Abhiyan is making appeals to the peace loving citizens to come forward to resolve this crisis in a very amicable manner.
