Hyderabad: CM reviewed the functioning of Minorities Finance Corporation and expressed his surprise that most of the schemes are not being implemented by it. He convened the meeting of the officials and asked about the implementation of various schemes. He felt sorry that the officials are not in a position to view proper replies.
Minorities representatives also complained that Govt. announced bank linked subsidy scheme but the corporation did not select any candidate although, more than one lakh applications have been received. Employment training scheme has not been implemented for the past two years. Minorities Finance Corporation has announced to provide autorikshaw drivers. 1750 drivers were selected but only 1000 were given auto. MD of Finance Corporation has been given additional responsibility of Minorities Residential Schools. He is concentrating more on this work. Govt. should appoint separate officials for Minorities Finance Corporation or call back the MD from Minorities Residential schools.
