The 63rd birthday celebrations of TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao were organized on a grand scale in the Telangana Bhavan here on Friday.
On the occasion, a large number of party leaders, workers and ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin and others participated in the function. A huge cake weighing 63 kg was cut by Mohd Mahmmod Ali, Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Nizamabad MP and daughter of KCR Kavitha amidst wild applause.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavitha said the birthday of KCR was being celebrated in the party headquarters every year as a tradition and profusely thanked the party cadre and leaders for celebrating the Chief Minister’s birthday on a grand scale. Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy reminded that six-decades old dream of separateTelangana State came into being due to the tireless efforts of KCR and supreme sacrifices of those died in the prolonged agitation. Stating that the people in the entire State were solidly behind KCR, the Home Minister declared that no force on the earth could stop the monumental development in the State despite any number of conspiracies and sabotage activities of the jealous political leaders.
The Telangana Jagruthi of Kalvakuntla Kavitha organized a special painting exhibition in the Telangana Bhavan on the occasion about the achievements of the party founder-president and Chief Minister KCR. Meanwhile, KCR’s birthday was celebrated across the State party workers in a big way. Cakes were cut and meetings were organized on the occasion. In capital city of Hyderabad billboards were painted pink greeting KCR on his birthday.
On the day, members of Telangana Archaka Samakhya performed special pujas in 12,254 temples all over the State seeking blessings of the Almighty for Messaiah of the Poor K Chandrasekhar Rao. Samakhya working president Upendra Sharma said, “We performed pujas in all the temples for robust health of the Chief Minister for his untiring efforts in developing the infant State”.
Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas performed special pujas in the Peddamma Thalli temple in Jubilee Hills and prayed the Goddess to shower Her blessings to KCR and ensure long life and good health to the Chief Minister. In Lakshmi-Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri, MLA Gongidi Sunitha performed special pujas for the longevity of KCR. In Bhadradri Kothagudem district, MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao participated in the birthday celebrations of KCR and cut a cake on the occasion. (NSS)
