KCR spent only 40% of ST sub-plan funds: Ali

Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Council   Mohammed Ali Shabbir today alleged that even after 32 months of Telangana State formation and  installation of KCR Government,  the  pathetic condition of the  Scheduled Tribes deteriorated further.

Addressing the media today at CLP along with  Ravindra Nayak, former  Minister, Vamshi Chand Reddy MLA and  T. Rammohan Reddy MLA, Shabbir Ali  alleged that the KCR government only chanted populist slogans and had done very little for the welfare of the  STs. Shabbir Ali released a calendar, posters and  charter of demands of Girijana Rana Shankaravam to be organized by the Tribal  Joint action Committee of all tribal forums at Nizam college grounds on April 23.

Slamming the Chief Minister for not fulfilling even one promise  made on tribal welfare, Shabbir said the Congress will fully back the  tribal movement to fulfill their demands and poll promises of KCR. He also demanded that the tribals should get quota in jobs, education and health care on the ratio of their population and 12% reservation. He also demanded that the State government strictly implement the 2006 Forest Protection Act. He also charged the KCR government with not spending the    ST sub-plan budgetary allocations in all the three years. He also charged the TRS government with not honoring the High Court verdict of 2015 to implement the V schedule for tribals. (NSS)
